BRIEF PROFILE OF JOE P FERNANDES

Joe, a Post-Graduate Degree in Human Resource Management from the reputed Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, has a 40+ year career in HR, covering recruitment, training and development, career and succession planning, compensation structuring, employee engagement, industrial relations and other relevant HR interventions.

He started his career nearly 40 years back beginning with Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), followed by Procter & Gamble (P&G) at their manufacturing plant on Thane-Belapur Road, Mumbai, and thereafter at Modi-XEROX (during their setting up phase in India), followed by a five and half year stint with a large conglomerate in the Middle East (Muscat, Oman), as their Group General Manager (HR) and then a short stint of three and half years with ANZIT, Bangalore.

In 1995, Joe set up his own Recruitment Consulting firm under the banner of Human Resource Specialists (HRS). Here, he and his team made significant strides in the Recruitment Consultancy field catering to MNC's and others to meet their manpower needs. It may be pertinent to mention that Campus Recruitment for companies was one of their significant activities on a retainer basis.

For the last one year, Joe has considerably tapered down his recruitment activity and is now devoting his time and energies between Executive Coaching & Mentoring young minds. Thereby, he believes that he must give back to society and help the younger generation as they step into the corporate world.
